ESTERO, Fla.- A two-vehicle crash on Ben Hill Griffin Pkwy. at Miromar Outlet Dr. in Estero sent four people to Lee Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Estero Fire and Rescue said the crash was between a red Chevy t-boned a black Nissan. The Chevy ended up on its side in the middle of the intersection.
Two people in the Chevy had to be cut out of the vehicle.
The northbound lanes of Ben Hill Griffin Pkwy. were shut down for a quarter of mile while crews worked to clean up the mess. the road has been re-opened.
FHP has determined the Chevy was traveling north on Ben Hill Griffin Pkwy., approaching Miromar Outlet Dr. in the inside lane. The Nissan was traveling south on Ben Hill Griffin Pkwy. approaching Miromar Outlet Dr. in the left turn lane.
The Nissan attempted to make a left turn onto Miromar Outlet Dr. at the same time that the Chevy entered the same intersection.
As a result, the Chevy's front portion collided with the Nissan's right side, causing the Chevy to overturn.
