COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Officials cut the ribbon on a new Harry Chapin Food Bank warehouse in Collier County on Tuesday.
Until now, the only Harry Chapin warehouse was in Lee County. Harry Chapin is leasing part of a 15,000 square foot facility to store food and distribute to more than 20 Collier agencies.
They plan to distribute about 400,000 pounds of food a year. Harry Chapin officials say this will greatly help their efforts in Collier.
Harry Chapin is giving tours of the facility to officials until 2:00 p.m.
