FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers Police are investigating a death on Desoto Avenue. A man's body was found early Monday morning.

At 5:49 a.m., police responded to 4151 Desoto Avenue to assist Emergency Medical Services on a call. A neighbor walking her dog discovered a man, later identified as 67-year-old Jorge Velazquez, lying on the road at the address.

EMS pronounced Velazquez deceased at the scene. Family members have been notified and they have discussed a known medical history with police. However, the death is being treated as suspicious until an autopsy can be preformed.
