PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives solved three more Port Charlotte home burglaries with the arrest of two men Tuesday. Jordan Simon Johnson, 22, of 25945 Aysen Drive, and Joshua Roy Robinson, 22, of 4613 Washington Boulevard in Sarasota, were arrested for the crimes.

A home in the 200 block of Northview Street in Port Charlotte, was broken into twice, on May 1 and May 2. The other was on May 6in the 400 block of Birchcrest Boulevard also in Port Charlotte. In the Northview Street home on May 1, a laptop computer, a handgun, a shotgun and $170 in loose change were stolen. The next day, a small safe, two shotguns, a handgun, jewelry and $1,000 cash was stolen.

In the May 6 burglary, a rear window was smashed to gain entry and a small safe, jewelry and $3,000 in cash were stolen. CCSO Crime Scene lifted a fingerprint from broken glass and on June 25, it was positively identified as belonging to Robinson.

Johnson and Robinson were arrested Tuesday at the Charlotte County Jail, on six felony charges each, one for Burglary, two for Armed Burglary and three for Grand Theft. Johnson has been in the jail since Sep. 6 on previous multiple Burglary, Grand Theft, Dealing in Stolen Property, and Fraud for False Ownership on Pawn Item charges. Johnson also has two additional Violation of Probation charges. Robinson was first arrested Tuesday on a Violation of Probation charge prior to the six new felony charges. Johnson and Robinson reportedly would break into houses daily to support their drug habits.

Detectives continue their investigations and more charges are expected to be filed in these and other home burglary cases.
