LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - A man and a woman from Lehigh Acres have been arrested for three robberies committed in two days – two less than 30 minutes apart.
The robberies began on Sunday, September 2nd just after 11:00 a.m. at the Subway located at 2802 Lee Boulevard, Lehigh Acres. A female walked into the store, implied she had a weapon, and demanded money. The clerk complied with the demands and the woman left the store with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the incident.
Approximately a half hour later, a woman walked up to the CVS Pharmacy counter at 13591 Jetport Commerce Loop in Fort Myers and asked for drugs. She claimed she was very scared and didn’t want to commit the robbery but there were men outside with guns that wanted the narcotics. The clerk gave the female the drugs and she fled the scene. There were no injuries during this incident. Video evidence was recovered from both locations showing the same woman in the same clothing at both locations.
On Monday, September 3rd, the Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to a robbery at 7-Eleven, 530 Joel Boulevard, Lehigh Acres. A male entered the store and asked for money from the cash register. He said he was sorry but he owed someone money. The clerk initially thought he was joking and the male lifted his shirt to show a handgun tucked in his waistband.
