LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - On Saturday, September 8th at 10:49 p.m., the Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to the 1100 block of Vineyard Place in Lehigh Acres in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival deputies located a male victim who was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries. The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Mark Gordon of Lehigh Acres.

Due to the nature of the incident, detectives with the Homicide Unit of the Lee County Sheriffs Office responded to the scene.  The investigation is ongoing but at this point this is believed to be an isolated incident.
