KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) - Detectives in Key West are seeking the public's help in identifying a man found dead in the water near Ballast Key.
Monroe County Sheriff's officials say a boater found the body floating about 100 yards offshore late Monday afternoon. He called the U.S. Coast Guard. Coast Guard officials brought the body to Key West.
Investigators say the man was naked and has a tribal tattoo on his upper left arm. They say they found no missing persons reports matching the man.
An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 305-289-2351.
