6 pedestrians injured in Lehigh hit and run

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit and run crash that injured six people around 3:30 a.m. Monday morning at Roma Ave. and Venetia St. in Lehigh Acres.

The driver, 28-year-old Juan Aguiar, was traveling south on Roma Ave. when he failed to noticed the group of pedestrians walking to their cars, parked on the same street. Accordign to the report, he managed to hit all six of the pedestrians.

Aguiar then stopped the vehicle and fled on foot.

Three of the pedestrians were transported to area hospitals and are listed in serious condition. The three others sustained only minor injuries and were treated on scene.

Alcohol is considered a factor.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
