Red Cross volunteers heading to the heart of the storm

FORT MYERS, FL - Red Cross volunteers from across the country and right here in southwest Florida are packing up and heading off to areas in Louisiana and Mississippi in the wake of what was hurricane Isaac. The storm continues to dump rain on the area forcing evacuations. The volunteers from our area are trained in a number of specialties including shelter co-ordination and management, also counselling. 4 volunteers left on Wednesday and 7 more are on standby.
