LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A serious five-vehicle accident closed Palm Beach Blvd. at Veronica Shoemaker Blvd. in both directions for several hours Friday evening.

Two individuals were transported to the hospital by helicopter. One person had to be cut out of their vehicle.

The road has been reopened.
