PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit detectives Thursday located and arrested a third person living in the Port Charlotte drug home raided Wednesday by the SWAT team. Deputies arrested Kimberly Ann Martin, 29, the girlfriend of Shane Marcus Poling, 40, who was also arrested along with John Duncan McNamara Jr., 42; all lived in the home.
A previous undercover drug buy from Poling on Aug. 6 by Narcotics detectives led to obtaining a search warrant for the home at 18227 Ackerman Avenue and arresting Poling and McNamara. Martin was not home at the time of the drug raid but detectives did open a safe in Poling and Martin’s bedroom and located numerous narcotics. Martin is charged with Possession of Clonazepam, Possession of Carisopridol, Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Martin posted a $9,500 bond and was released; Poling and McNamara also posted bond and were released. Anyone with knowledge of illegal drug activity is asked to please call the CCSO Narcotics Unit at 941-575-2157, or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
