NAPLES, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a man's body was found in a swampy area near Alligator Alley.
Investigators from the Collier County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene Tuesday night after a group of people on ATVs found the body around 8:45 p.m.

The body was found about 100 yards away from the intersection of Benfield Road and Beck Boulevard. That's near mile marker 100 on I-75.

The Sheriff's Office says it took deputies hours to retrieve the body because of the wet, swampy terrain.

The man's body was removed from the area around 3 a.m.

Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kristi Lester says foul play doesn't appear to be a factor in the man's death. An autopsy is planned.
