NORTH PORT, Fl. - Developing details on a DCF worker accused of molesting two 5-year-old girls. 

Peter Crane worked out of DCF's Charlotte County office.  Officials tell us he's been removed from all work duties during this investigation.

According to police reports, Crane was a family friend who sometimes watched the girls at his home.  One girl told police that every time she went over to his house, Crane would touch her.

In the report, the other girl tells police that Crane would also touch her while he played on his iPAD.  She told police crane would also take her hand and her foot and make her rub his stomach.

DCF officials told WINK News in a statement that: "These allegations, if true, betray the trust and confidence that all Floridians have in our department's employees..."

Tuesday night, Crane is behind bars at the Sarasota County jail without bond.  He faces two charges of lewd and lascivious behavior with a young child, and one charge of sexual assault involving a young child.
