COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Konnie Bedell's brother said the 44-year-old was a wonderful mother up until the day she died. Wednesday she was discovered dead on her back porch on Flame Vine Drive in Naples.

Collier County investigators say Bedell's mother and her oldest son were home when she was killed. Neighbors are now questioning whether their neighborhood is still safe.

Meantime, detectives are looking for Bedell's ex-boyfriend, Lawrence Joseph Macdonald. They say Macdonald and Bedell lived together for about a month last year.

Bedell's brother told WINK News, despite her restraining order against Macdonald, he continued to call and text and threaten her life. In the information section on her Facebook page, Bedell writes, "Trust none." And her favorite quote on Facebook, now seems almost eerie, "We should enjoy here while were here."

Bedell was murdered right before she was supposed to move out of her North Naples home.

If you know the whereabouts of Macdonald, call the Collier County Sheriff's Office.
