FORT MYERS, Fla.- A Fort Myers police officer has been reprimanded for allegedly using his badge to obtain a free carwash at 7-Eleven, after the wash he paid for left his vehicle dirt, according to our partners at the News-Press.
Officer Joseph Vidal violated a Fort Myers Police Department policy that prohibits employees from using badges for personal or financial gain, or for obtaining privileges not otherwise available, according to a recently released internal affairs investigation. He will receive counseling and a policy review.
