FORT MYERS, Fla. - Police are investigating another homicide after a late night shooting on Fowler Street leaves one man dead and sends another to the hospital.  It happened outside the Super Stop convenience store about 11:15 p.m. Sunday, August 5th.

FMPD officers responded to a report of gunshots at the store located at 3485 Fowler Street and were able to located one victim.  Police say 23-year old Ernest Zigler was lying on the sidewalk near Fowler and Simpson Streets, dead from a gunshot wound. 

A second gunshot victim, 21-year old Antwan Thomas was dropped off at Lee Memorial Hospital by a friend.  Thomas's wounds were not life-threatening. 

Police are investigating this as the 16th homicide in the city of Fort Myers in 2012.
