CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Questions continue to swirl regarding a death investigation in Cape Coral. A man was found dead, inside a home on the 500 block of SW 49th Lane on Wednesday.

Though quiet, the scene is still under investigation. The forensics team is gone, but the yellow tape around the home remains. An officer sits outside.

Cape Coral police are not releasing any new information about this death investigation and are simply reporting that a man was found dead inside the home at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Additionally, they say the man's next of kin has not yet been notified and therefore, they cannot release his identity.

The manner of his death is also still unknown, as the autopsy has not yet been completed.

Neighbors say a 91-year-old man lived there named Leroy. They say he was very active and liked to take walks. He would also greet neighbors when he would see them,  but there still have a lot of questions as to how the man died and if this is a homicide.
