SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) - A southwest Florida man has been sentenced to life in prison for participating in a fatal robbery.
A Sarasota County judge sentenced 35-year-old Roy Couran on Wednesday after a jury found him guilty of second-degree murder.
Authorities say 34-year-old Jeff Hill was killed in January during an attempted robbery at a public housing complex in Newtown.
The Herald-Tribune in Sarasota (http://bit.ly/LJbFzt ) reports that Hill's family members still want to see a second attacker brought to justice. They insist two men participated in the robbery, but no other arrests have been made.
