TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - A body has been recovered from Tampa Bay hours after a man was ejected from his boat near the Gandy Bridge.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials say the body was discovered about 2 a.m. Thursday. It has yet not been determined whether the body is that of the missing boater.
Officials say the boater went missing around 7 p.m. when his 20-foot boat hit a channel marker and then a seawall.
Tampa Bay Times (http://bit.ly/MWoSD9 ) reports a witness called 911 and a Tampa police dive team responded. The U.S. Coast Guard and the wildlife agency also sent rescuers to the scene.
No further details were immediately available.
