PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- A United States Postal Service worker is in serious condition after falling out of the right side of the mail truck she was driving earlier today.

The victim was traveling northbound on Rivermarsh Drive when the she fell out of the vehicle. The truck continued on down the street before coming to rest against a tree on the side of the road.

A passerby found the woman lying in the southbound lane on Rivermarsh Drive. She was transported to Lee Memorial hospital.
