LEE COUNTY, Fla. - Zoomers Family Amusement Park is finally set to open this week, 10 years after plans for the park were first announced.  We sent our own big kid, Kyle Jordan, to test it out.

The family fun park on Summerlin Road has been teasing southwest Florida guests and residents alike for years.  After it appear ready to open years ago, construction shut down in 2007.  The property went into foreclosure the next year and it looked like Zoomers would never open.  In the summer of 2010, the property was bought at auction, changes were made, and construction finally finished.  On Friday, June 15, Zoomers will open its doors for the first time to the public at 4:00 pm.

The park is filled with rides and games.  You'll find a go-kart race track for kids, and a slick track for licensed drivers.  They have bumper boats where you should expect to get wet and an 18-hole miniature golf course.  Inside, Zoomers is loaded with video games where you can win credits to be exchanged for prizes later.

The park also has food, and space for parties and events.
