FORT MYERS, Fla. - Young inventors in Southwest Florida have their chance to create their own cartoon or movie, learn about recording sound, and recreate moments of discovery throughout history at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates. The Inventor's Summer Camps are already underway and filling up fast. 

Campers can learn through challenges and activities in the sciences, art, history and nature.  They can ask questions and discover the answers for themselves while having fun.  Each week, the Estates holds two camps simultaneously, separated by age (1st – 3rd/ 4th – 6th).  Camps are held in the Edison Education Center located in the Edison Caretaker’s House.  Each camp runs Monday through Friday from 9AM – 4PM.

The following camps still have space available (as of June 1st).

Week 4: Animation, June 18 – June 22

Week 5: Movie Making Magic, June 25 – June 29

Week 7: Time Travelers, July 16 – July 20

Week 8: Physics in Motion, July 23 – July 27

Week 9: Smarts in Arts, July 30 – August 3
