PORT CHARLOTTE Fla.- The Charlotte County Sheriff's office confirmed today that they suspect the body they discovered over the weekend at 161 Avens Street in Port Charlotte may be the body of 73 year old William Taylor.   Taylors caretaker, 50 year old Anna Nangle called the Sheriff's office Saturday to report that she thought some kind of violence may have befallen Taylor.  When deputies responded to her residence they discovered a pile of freshly raked soil with branches covering it on the side yard.

Shortly after deputies were called to the residence on Avens Street, dispatch received a call from an employee at Cecil Web Management Area who reported that 47 year old Juan Reyes had told the employee that he had "done somethig really bad and he needed to speak with a deputy.   Deputies interviewed Reyes who told them that he strangled Taylor and buried him in a shallow grave behind the home.  Reyes, who is a convicted sex offender was arrested and charged with first degree murder and booked into the Charlotte County Jail where he is being held without bond.
