LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Denise Dewitt was desperate to see her son before he is deployed to Afghanistan on May 3rd. She was expecting a very special visit last month when her son purchased a ticket on Direct Air, but then, without warning, the airline suspended all its flights. Sergeant Andrew Pirch's flight was included in those suspended.

Just when it seemed that the sergeant would not get to see his mom before his deployment, a very generous offer came in. Someone purchased a ticket for Sergeant Pirch to fly in today on Delta and he is expected this afternoon.

WINK News will meet with the family and bring you an update on thier story on our later news casts.
