NORTH PORT, Fla.- A fire in North Port left two dead and a house in ruins on Tuesday morning. A 911 call came in about 5 a.m., reporting a house on fire on Duar Terrace. North Port Fire Rescue was on scene in less than four minutes.

The fire was extinguished within thirty minutes, and two victims were discovered inside. The medical examiner's office will have to determine the identities of the victims and how they died. It is unknown whether the victim's died before the fire or because of the fire.

The deaths are considered suspicious.

Neighbors say a mother and her 8-year-old son lived in the house. they said she and her husband separated about five months ago and were going through a divoce. They described this fire as very intense and could see the car in the garage fully engulfed in flames.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
