DAVIE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a teen riding a bicycle to school escaped injury when an unmarked police car driven by Davie Police Chief Patrick Lynn hit him.

The South Florida SunSentinel (http://sunsent.nl/GJJBHg ) reports 49-year-old Lynn didn't receive a ticket even though police reports indicate he was at fault in the Wednesday morning incident.

The newspaper reports the 15-year-old boy was in the crosswalk near the school when he was hit. The chief was making a right turn.

Police spokesman Dale Engle says the chief is grateful that no one was hurt.

Davie administrator Rick Lemack says the police department's accident review board will take a look at the case.

The boy's sister told the newspaper she's upset the chief didn't get a ticket.
