FORT MYERS, Fla.- On Tuesday, at 4:45 a.m. the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a robbery at a convenience store located at 5324 Cleveland Avenue.

Upon arrival police learned a white male suspect armed with a knife entered the store and demanded money. Witnesses say the suspect was wearing what appeared to be a white sheet around his head with eye holes cut out. He was also wearing an orange t-shirt that was dirty along with a long-sleeved gray shirt underneath it.

This is the second time this year the store has been robbed.

On Thursday, at 4:56 a.m. FMPD responded to the same location in reference to similar circumstances. Back then, witnesses described the suspect as a white male armed with a knife wearing a pillowcase over his head with eye holes cut out.

In both robberies the suspect fled with a small amount of cash.

No one was hurt.

Police believe the robberies are related.
