NAPLES, Fla.- A Naples teen is behind bars, accused of depositing more than $12,000 in fraudulent checks.

Collier County Deputies say 18-year-old Hudson Redning broke into at least two vehicles containing the victims' checkbooks. He apparently made multiple checks out to himself, writing memos like "good grades" and "birthday money."

The thefts were discovered by Bank of America workers who noticed his account was in the negative just a few days ago, and his birthday is in July.

He's being held on multiple theft and fraud charges.
