PALM COAST, Fla. (AP) - Detectives say they're investigating the "suspicious" death of a woman whose husband says he accidentally shot her while cleaning his gun.
Flagler County Sheriff's officials say 30-year-old Stefanie Merill died Tuesday inside her Palm Coast home. They say her 32-year-old husband was inspecting a rifle when it fired.
The Orlando Sentinel (http://thesent.nl/yC6q68 ) reports the Florida Department of Law Enforcement sent a crime-scene unit to the home.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Debra Johnson says the incident is consider "suspicious" while the investigation continues.
No other details were immediately available.
