COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- A North Naples man was arrested Tuesday after he refused to drop his machete during a fight with Collier County deputies, reports say.
Francy Cardenas-Reyes, 23, is charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence.
According to arrest documents, deputies were responding to a disturbance when Cardenas-Reyes, followed by his sister, walked towards them in an aggressive manner with his hand behind his back.
A deputy drew his firearm and told Cardenas-Reyes to show his hands, according to reports.
Deputies say Cardenas-Reyes drew a large machete from behind his back shouting expletives and statements like, "I'll kill you gringos."
Cardenas-reyes reportedly dropped the knife and ran towards the deputies who took him down using a stun gun.
As the fight ensued Cardenas-reyes' sister, Lucinda attacked deputies.
Lucinda Cardenas-reyes was arrested on a lesser charge of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence.
