FORT MYERS, Fla.- Officers are searching for the suspects who robbed the 7-Eleven on Cypress Lake Dr. in Fort Myers Tuesday night.
An employee told officers that he was re-stocking the sandwich case when two masked men entered the store, demanding money. Both of the suspects stood approximately 6 feet tall and weighed 160 lbs.
The employee walked to the register and placed the try on the counter. One of the suspects stood on the opposite side of the counter and pointed the firearm at the clerk the entire time. The other suspect went behind the counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of money, cigars and cigarettes.
Both men then fled on foot, southbound, toward Walgreens. The employee estimated that they are between 20 and 30 years of age. Fresh tire marks and coins were located on Cypress Lake Dr. near the intersection of Warwick Circle.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Lee County Sheriff's Office (239) 477-1000.
