PUNTA GORDA Fla.- After an hour of deliberating, a jury decided 76 year old Juanita Schultz was guilty of disturbing a sea turtle nest in 2010. Despite the fact that her attorney Andrew Banyai hinged his defense on the idea there was never a real nest on her Englewood property. The state asked that Schultz be remanded back into custody but the judge refused. Schultz was fingerprinted and released. Schultz had nothing to say to us as she left the courthouse. She could now face a fine and up to 5 years in prison.
