DESOTO COUNTY, Fla.- The Florida Highway Patrol is requesting assistance in locating a witness to a serious vehicle accident in Desoto County.
A vehicle crash involving serious bodily injury occurred on Friday at 4:40 p.m. on CR 769 and CR 760 in Desoto County. It was reported that there was a vehicle in the area which could be a witness to this crash. This reported vehicle was described as traveling westbound on CR 760 approaching the stop sign intersection at CR 769. The reported vehicle was described as traveling behind a red 4-door sedan also approaching the stop sign intersection. The operator of the reported vehicle may have witnessed the red 4-door sedan travel into the intersection, causing a black 4-door sedan traveling northbound on CR 769 to swerve into the southbound lane and then swerve back across the northbound lane and overturn on the east grass shoulder of CR 769.
The crash caused serious bodily injury to the driver of the black sedan. This individual may have also witnessed the red 4-door sedan leave the scene of the crash. F.H.P. is attempting to locate that vehicle and driver.
