CEDAR KEY, Fla. (AP) - The Coast Guard says three men had to be rescued from their capsized catamaran in the Gulf of Mexico off Florida.
According to the Coast Guard, a family member reported the men missing Sunday night. The men had left Cedar Key to sail a 16-foot fiberglass catamaran around Atsena Otie Key, about a mile off shore.
A Coast Guard aircraft crew spotted the men early Monday after seven hours of searching. The men were atop their boat's capsized hull and adrift two miles off Atsena Otie Key.
No injuries were reported.
Coast Guard officials say the men had no motor, lights or emergency equipment on board.
