HENDRY COUNTY, Fla.- Five years after three people where killed in Hendry County, a jury could soon decide the fate of the woman accused. Ruby Yolanda Parker is on trial for her role in the 2006 murders.

The defense will continue calling several experts to the stand. Their argument is that Ruby Parker is also a victim in this triple murder.

In 2006, she and her boyfriend, Richard Harker allegedly killed Ann Whitaker, her husband Joey and Myrtle Lee Cox. The three were beaten and strangled to death.

Richard Harker was former business partners with the trio. Prosecutors say Harker and Parker went to the home to rob them and things turned violent. They took off in the victim's truck and crashed it days later into a police cruiser during a high speed chase.

Harker shot and killed himself before being arrested.

Ruby Parker was taken into custody and five years later she's in court on trial.

Her defense attorneys says Parker is a victim of domestic violence and did not participate in the murders. In fact, they say she feared for her own life, too. They called expert witnesses to the stand to defend their argument.

The trial will continue this afternoon.
