PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives arrested a Deep Creek man Thursday for Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of an 8-year-old boy. Richard Allen Forget, 66, of 26029 Luzon Court was arrested.

The investigation began July 6, 2011 when the boy’s mother called CCSO and said her son told her he had been touched by a friend of the family on various occasions. The boy met with the CCSO Forensic Interviewer and said he was on the computer looking at naked pictures of women and his mother caught him. His mother asked where he learned about the web address; he stated, from Forget. He then told his mother about Forget touching him. He also said the incidents occurred multiple times over the past three years.

Forget had been out the area, returned, and MCU detectives made contact with him. Forget advised detectives to talk to his attorney. His attorney advised Forget would not provide detectives with a statement regarding the CCSO investigation. Thursday, the attorney brought Forget to the Sheriff’s Office. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Charlotte County Jail where he remains on no bond.
