MARIANNA, Fla. (AP) - Panhandle officials have raided two Internet cafes after a grand jury investigation.
Two search warrants were executed Tuesday. Some Internet cafes feature casino type games and sweepstakes cards on computers and have made headlines recently as officials question whether they are legal. Local law enforcement agents said they had received complaints about the cafes.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office took computers, documents and other evidence from the businesses. No arrests have been made, but authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
