Collier EMS worker arrested for stealing from a patient

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- A Collier County EMS worker was arrested Tuesday for stealing from a patient in January.
Roger Alfonso was charged with grand theft after it was discovered by the victim's wife that money was missing from her sick husband's wallet.
Emergency workers were called to the victim's residence around 6 a.m. on January 30th. As he was being prepared for transport, the victim handed his wallet to Alfonso, who later returned it to the victim's wife. She tucked it into her purse for safekeeping, but then discovered the wallet was missing an undisclosed amount of cash.
After multiple interviews, officers arrested Alfonso for the crime.
