NAPLES, Fla.- The Naples Zoo is welcoming four fearless fosa cubs to their facility. The rare carnivores are native to Madagascar and extremely difficult to breed.
While the cubs appear social, zookeepers say they're actually aggressive and one of the most feared predators in their terrain.
"They're dangerous. In the fact, almost everything else in the forest is food for these guys. Unless it's a very large pig or a crocodile, it's on the menu," said Naples Zoo Director David Tetzlaff.
The public is now invited to sneek a peek of the cubs at the Naples Zoo. The exhibit itself is a rarity; only one in ten accredited zoos in the nation have fosas.
