Meixel pleads guilty in murder-for-hire plot

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A Lee County woman accused of putting together a murder-for-hire plot against her husband has plead guilty.
Bettina Meixel was arrested in September for attempting the plot against her husband, Jason Meixel. She will serve a three-year sentence and five years of probation.
Bettina Meixel will also eventually be deported to Germany.
