FORT MYERS, Fla. - WINK News received many questions and photos on Saturday night of a very prominent lunar halo that is visible over areas of southwest Florida, including Fort Myers.
The halo is caused by light of the nearly full moon being refracted by ice crystals, which compose the high-level cirrus clouds that remain in our sky.
Thanks to Ray for sending us this lunar halo photo!
