LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- A Lehigh Acres man was arrested Thursday after picking up a mentally disabled man at a gas station, bringing him back to his trailer and sexually assaulting him.
Terry Elliott, 46, was arrested and charged with sexual assault on a victim over the age of 12 with special conditions.
According to the police report, the victim, who is diagnosed with "mental retardation and schizophrenia," had gone to the Citgo gas station on Joel Blvd. when Elliott lured him back to his trailer at 308 Cleveland Ave. N.
Elliott allegedly drugged the victim and forced him to perform oral sex on him. Elliott then attempted to anally rape the victim. It is unknown how the victim got away from Elliott.
The victim also reported that pornographic images covered the walls of Elliott's trailer.
The victim told his caregiver what had happened, who then called the police.
Police provided the victim with a six-person lineup and he was able to identify Elliott in the group. A search warrant was obtained and Elliott's residence matched that described by the victim. He was then arrested for the crime.
