FORT MYERS, Fla.- Two men were arrested in Fort Myers on Wednesday for Home Invasion Robbery after hitting the victim and taking his wallet.
On Wednesday at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Fort Myers Police Department received a call in reference to a robbery. It happened at 715 Pine Street.
The caller said he was doing some renovations to his house when two suspects entered his home, hit him and took his wallet. The victim also provided police with a description of the suspects. Moments after the call was received, officers with the FMPD Violent Crimes Task Force located two males, that matched the description given, running in the area of Polk Street and Washington Avenue. Officers detained the suspects without incident. The victim was brought to the location and he positively identified the two suspects as the men who robbed him. Police also recovered the victim’s wallet and the money he had inside it.
Police arrested Milton Smith, 28, of Fort Myers, and Gabriel King, 26, of Fort Myers, for Home Invasion Robbery.
