FORT MYERS, Fla.- A Fort Myers man was arrested after police found 466 grams of marijuana in his vehicle during a traffic stop.
On Tuesday at 8:59 p.m. Officer Richard Carpenter with the Fort Myers Police Department observed a pickup truck with a headlight out. Officer Carpenter initiated a traffic stop and while at the passenger side window, he could smell a strong, overwhelming odor of marijuana coming from inside the truck.
Officer William Schulte and K-9 Partner Zeus also responded to the traffic stop. K-9 Zeus alerted on the vehicle.
Inside a shopping bag, police located a gallon-sized plastic bag that contained marijuana with a total package weight of 466 grams. Police seized the marijuana and arrested Reginald Gordon, 42, of Fort Myers, for possession of marijuana.
