CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) - Florida authorities say two small planes were forced to land in unusual locations.
No injuries were reported in either of the forced landings Saturday.
Palm Beach Fire Department spokesman James Weber tells WPTV-TV that a twin-engine plane was forced to land on the beach south of the Palm Beach Inlet. Weber says the plane had engine trouble.
Across the state, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says a single-engine plane crash landed in a field near a Clearwater elementary school.
Federal authorities were expected to investigate each crash.
