PINE ISLAND, Fla.- Arson investigators are on the scene of a suspicious fire at Pine Island's Chamber of Commerce. The building went up in flames overnight and is now deemed a total loss. The Fire Chief is officially calling it arson.

The roof is completely caved into the building. Fire investigators and the State Fire Marshal are looking into whether this fire is arson.

Firefighters responded to the blaze around 3 a.m. Friday morning. Pine Island's Chamber of Commerce was completely engulfed in flames. The fire was contained and out within an hour, but now, investigators say the fire's origin is suspicious.

Just last March, members worked to renovate the exterior of the structure.

Throughout Friday afternoon, arson investigators will also inspect the building, to try to determine the source of the fire.
