GULF COVE, Fla.- The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an 18-year-old Lemon Bay High School student found deceased in his Gardens of Gulf Cove residence located at 13599 Martha Ave. The victim has been identified as Michael Angel Rojaswas. He was found in his bedroom by a family member who called CCSO at 4:32 p.m.
The Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at approximately 4:32 p.m. in reference to an unresponsive male subject. Upon Fire/EMS arrival they found the deceased in the residence.
The Fire Hazmat Team responded to clear the house of an unsafe level of smoke in the house. The cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office who has custody of the body. No foul play is suspected at this time.
Investigation is being handled by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
