NAPLES, Fla.- On the second anniversary of the deadly earthquake that destroyed Haiti's capital, a Naples-based non profit wants to remind Southwest Floridians of the work to be done.
Hope for Haiti has distributed more than $40 million worth of medication and supplies to more than 60 healthcare facilities in the devastated country.
Lately though, President and CEO Tiffany Kuehner says they've seen a big drop-off in medical donations.
On today's anniversary, Kuehner shared with the public a number of accomplishments, but also, a somber reminder.
We are here today to say 'Please don't forget about Hope for Haiti.' It is 2 years later, but the country is in recovery and will be for a while and we're doing the best we can to see progress as fast as possible," Kuehner said.
Hope for Haiti also supports 40 schools, providing for 10,000 students and 400 teachers.
