GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) - A Florida cat is going home after being reunited with its owner in Colorado.

Waylon, orange-striped tabby cat, ran away from home in the Naples area this summer soon after being adopted by Daniel Johns. A good Samaritan found Waylon on a Colorado street on Dec. 21 and brought the cat to the Foothills Animal Shelter in Golden. A microchip linked him to Johns.

The shelter says Johns got Waylon back on Wednesday and headed to the airport to fly back to Florida.

It's not known how the cat made its way to Colorado.
