COPELAND, Fla.- The 90-year-old woman who miraculously survived an alligator attack is back home.

Margaret Webb had a long and painful road to recovery after losing her leg, but the injury didn't break her spirit.

"No matter who you are or where you come from, when you get home you feel good," Webb said.

When Webb last saw her neighbors and friends along State Road 29 in Copeland, the water had risen 2 feet making a marsh in her front yard.

Webb was on her front porch trying to distract an 8 foot alligator who was going after her kittens when it grabbed onto her leg and dragged her 50 feet through her front yard and into the canal.

Today, Webb uses a wheelchair to get around.  Her sons built, by hand, a brand new deck and wheelchair ramp.

At 90 years old Webb is sharp as a tack, but she says she chooses not to think about the day in August that she nearly lost her life.

"That's gone.  I don't stop and think about what should have happened, what did happen.  I just live every day as it comes," Webb said.

Webb will work with a physical therapist three times a week to build her strength up.

She has a great support system of friends, families, and neighbors to lean on.
